Mark has 14 years of experience in statutory and strategic town planning, 12 years of which have been in senior / management roles in local government. Mark’s breadth of experience addresses all built form and land use issues including inner city, entertainment, recreation, suburban, rural, coastal, tourism, industrial, heritage, environment, visual landscape, mining and appeals. His professional career in Western Australia includes an involvement in some of the State’s most significant built form and civil projects. In the UK, Mark’s experience includes major project and specialist appeal roles. He has an excellent understanding of the statutory and strategic town planning processes in metropolitan and regional areas.
AARON BELL
Associate
Aaron holds a bachelor degree with honours and possesses extensive senior government experience in urban and regional planning. For the five years prior to establishing his own business in 2012, Aaron was planning manager in an established multi-disciplinary consultancy providing planing, survey and project management services to the South West. With a background in both public and private practice, Aaron has clear strengths from the assessment and procurement sides of countless applications, plans, strategies / policies and urban design projects. Having practised in Western Australia for over 13 years, he has extensive knowledge of WA’s planning / development and environmental frameworks, along with the legislation, systems and practices that underpin these frameworks. Planning and project management roles have developed and refined his communication and negotiation skills, culminating in an approach that is inclusive and consultative, yet able to successfully advocate particular approaches and outcomes for clients.
